In Chile, their major export industry is copper, whose price increased by 4% as a result of the quake. Not only is their biggest industry slowed down due to the earthquake but farmers and fishermen, crops and fisheries have all been damaged during the process. The 6th largest earthquake in history, shortened the length days by 1.26 microsecond and moved the Earth's axis by 8cm. That clearly shows the immense strength of moving tectonic plates beneath our feet.
